imagesCA9HE6QU Latin   This past weekend 10 students attended the annual State Latin Forum competition at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. The participants were complimented by the Regional director for an outstanding first visit to State Forum. There were 56 schools present and over 1,200 students competed in many different fields related to the Classics. All students were required to take one academic test but could submit a project in place of a second test. On average there were over 50 student entries in each test category. Ribbons were given for 10th-6th and trophies were given for 1st-5th.

Alex Aviles took 12th place in Hellenic History Advanced

Lauren Baker took 10th place in Derivatives II.

Michael Cunada took 5th place in Hellenic History Advanced and 11th place in History of the Republic    Advanced.

Alyssa Flores took 4th place for her homemade costume of the goddess Aurora and 13th place for Mottoes and Quotes Advanced.

Tanya Martin- took 7th place in Drawings.

Hayden Mashburn took 8th in Greek Derivatives and 9th in Advanced Grammar.

Kendyll Sumler took 9th in Customs and 12th in Geography II.

Michaela Von Schaumburg took 3rd in Customs II and 10th in Mythology II.

Sabrina Warren took 4th place in Dramatic Interpretations.

 

Alex Aviles, Brendan Ung, Sabrina Warren and Lauren Baker took 3rd place in the Catapult competition

with assistance from Mr. Hobby and the National Science Honor Society.
