Learning from each other, working with a team, raising money, and having fun – FFA teaches career success, makes a positive difference, and  helps with personal growth. In order to be apart of FFA, students have to be in one of the vet tech classes and vise versa. The TC FFA program is one of the biggest clubs at the school. Over 300 students are in the vet assisting program this year. Yet, around 100 of those kids have actually joined.

In the past, FFA has won forestry competitions, floral culture, placed in top five in vet assisting, and has won the float competition for homecoming almost every year including this one. It can also help students earn money in some of the competitions that FFA take part in. There are a lot of opportunities in FFA. Including traveling, being part of a team, civic engagement, and overall making a positive difference and having fun.

Some things coming up are tractor driving, creed speaking, and prepared speaking. The spring is when the FFA is the most busiest. They have a horse judging team, aqua culture, Nursery landscaping team, livestock judging team in May, Ag literacy day in February, Floral culture, Ornamental Florida Culture Demonstration, and more.

FFA has done so much for TC and has given great opportunities to the students. Ms. Hubble, the Vet Assisting teacher explained, “It’s helped kids get the experience they never thought they would get.” Kids have been getting positive experiences that will lead to positive career success. Senior, Rebekah Euchner commented, “FFA has helped me overcome my fears of talking in a crowd and has given me the opportunity to create life long friends and experiences I will never forget.” FFA has helped students a lot and will continue to help students in the future.
