Let’s Go TC! #HocoWeek
The long awaited Timber Creek High School Homecoming game has finally arrived! It is one of the most important and exciting games of the year. It is not only the game where we crown our Homecoming King and Queen, but it is also the game with the most spirit involved! Every which way, the stadium is filled with people dressed in purple and black (and you can’t forget the paint of course.) To further amp up the pressure, this was the wolves’ only home game. For the past few weeks it was #TcVsEverybody, but now its #TcVsOakridge.
The People on the Field
You can’t have a game without its players! Our varsity footballs players prepared and practiced daily in order to be able to showcase their skills on Friday night. The players performed to the best of their ability, considering the amount of pressure and how fired up the crowd was! Sophomore, Daniel Bello, explained that “it was really loud and hard to hear the coaches.” The purple people were really doing their job then, but this only further justifies how hard the wolves played that night!
Spirit, Scoring, and Screaming!
Aside from all the distractions, cheering, and pressure, our wolves were still able to score. Junior, Jael Capretti, managed to score us some points during the game! He, along with his teammates, managed to make the coaches proud. Sophomore, Destiny Bozan (who was a bystander in the crowd), showed her excitement when she said “The game was really fun and intense.” Most others in the stadium can agree! With the bright purple paint, shirts, and all your friends around you, it was evident that the TC students had spirit and weren’t afraid to show it. Some may have even lost their voice while cheering!
Endgame
Unfortunately in the end, the Wolves lost to Oakridge 36-7. However, there wasn’t anything to be sad about! The Homecoming Game inspired mounds of spirit and hard work from both the students and the players. Each teammate managed to make their coaches and their school proud. They showed tremendous sportsmanship afterwards, and it was a great close to spirit week!
