Thursday October 12th Timber Creek competed in the metro swim meet for Orange County . The meet took place at winter park high school. In the beginning then there was a light sprinkle and the pool water was cold. Competing against Timber creek where teams from Cypress Creek, East River, Boone, Columbia, Winter Park, University, Freedom, and  Lake Nona.
TC Swim raced in a number of individual events and only competed in one relay. In the relay was Manuela Barres in 11th grade, Emily Lennon 11th grade, Mia Minkin 12th grade, and Harper Grabenhorst 10th grade ,  they swam almost godly it was something to behold. Many of the individual swims did amazing in there events such as Junior Sarah Akil who swam in the 500 freestyle and got 3rd which shows she has a great stamina ” I didn’t do as well as I wanted but I am happy with my time,” said Akil. Senior Patricia Oliveira also did exceedingly well coming in 2nd in the 100 butterfly which is one of the hardest to swim due to the challenging movement of the stroke.
Many Timber Creek parents came to the event to support their children and the team. Timber Creek’s girls team  finished second out of nine at the metro meet and the boys finished fourth. The team did an overall amazing job and showed great sportsmanship and team spirit by cheering on each other during races.

Brooke Shell: 50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 200 & 400 freestyle relay

Manuela Barres: 200 IM, 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay

Harper Grabenhorst: 200 IM, 100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay

Emily Lennon: 200 IM, 100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay

Viana Campesino: 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay

Caitlyn Galloway: 200 freestyle relay

Amelia Minkin: 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay

Carter Ford: 500 freestyle
