President of the club, Lorena Sosa, is proud to be apart of a great organization to help people, "I came up with idea when I was talking to my mom about it just because we needed to do a drive that could bring the community together since Valentine's day was coming up it would be a great idea to give back."

Helping the Homeless once again comes with a new way on making the world a better place. For Valentine’s Day, they have all gathered together to make sure that not only do couples or close friends feel loved but the people who aren’t able to provide anything or receive anything do so as well. This is a very loving act that deserves to be credited. It really makes you humble as a student and even gives you the opportunity to make this world a better place. Timber Creek has always been able to provide to those in need and especially around this time it is essential that we spread the lovey feeling not only to those around us but to those who really do need it.

With the small bag of love, they only asked for simple things like products of makeup, tissues, hygiene items, and much more that are essential for those who don’t have much.  These items that they ask for are basically everyday necessities. With the items collected, Helping the Homeless members are able to make cute little bags for those around Orlando. This will for sure put a smile on anyone’s face any day!

President of Helping the Homeless , sophomore, Lorena Sosa was felt to instead of receiving wonderful gift she’d rather give and feel good which is amazing because not many people would ever think to use Valentine’s day as a time to give back. Mr. Dutcher has given his full support on the whole event because it was something definitely out of the box. The club has given the wonderful bags of love around our local areas here in Orlando which I’m sure has made them smile from ear to ear.

Sponser, Mr. Dutcher, is happy to do something out of the norm and to be able to expand their outreach “This type of drive is something we’ve never done before. We usually are more focused on helping the homeless and this is a unique set of people. It’s focused on a group where it may be difficult for them since it is valentine’s day. It’s towards the battered women and children which we were able to make 60 bags for them. I want them [students] to understand that one small thing can impact one other person and change that person’s life.”
