Welcome Thailin to the pond!
Our I-pads have arrived along with the rest of our Project Lead the Way materials.Next week, 2nd grade will be working on Forces/Functions, 4th Collisions,and 5th -Robotics using the PLTW kits. 1st and 3rd will be using the kits next quarter. We are also learning about coding through Code Start on the OCPS launch pad.
We are looking forward to our first ever Gifted trip next week to the Orlando Eye. Thanks to all the parents who have volunteer to help,especially Mrs. Boxx who organized all the lists.
This year our Gifted class raise $261.51 for UNICEF. 2nd grade came in with the most money! This allowed Malaria protection for 200 children,a years worth of clean water for 10 children,and measles protection for 5 children The lesson for the students was not for them to win something for doing a good deed,but to do something nice for another child who has nothing. Caring by sharing.
