Since our last week of school is a 3-day week, this will be our last Fridge Notes of the year. Continue checking the blog, though, for important announcements.
This will also be our last week for homework. Beginning next Monday, we will take time off to enjoy the end of a truly wonderful year!
This week, we will also be working on a Rap-Style Readers’ Theater based on the book Hip Hop Dog by Chris Raschka. This fun activity is a great way to practice our fluency skills, particularly phrasing and reading with expression. We will be recording our rap on Friday, May 30th. To help us get into character, I am asking that each student bring some accessories to wear as part of their costume, such as a baseball cap, sunglasses and/or “bling.” Thanks!
There are no Challenge Spelling Words because we are reviewing previous spelling patterns in preparation for the Unit 6 Benchmark Test.
