Tonight’s homework is a special Immigration project. Students will use clothespins to create dolls that reflect their cultural heritage. Here are the directions, in case you need an extra copy, as well as some pictures of examples to get your creative juices flowing.
*Please note: We are sending this project home a little earlier than in years past. We have NOT started our immigration unit, but we will in the next couple of weeks. This project also coordinates with our upcoming 2nd Grade Show “Americans All,” which the students have already been rehearsing for. Please remember to turn in the permission slip to allow your child to participate in the show. These dolls will be displayed the night of the performance (Thursday, March 13th).
