Timber creek girls varsity team breaks huddle as they prepare to begin the game. The team was in the season at the time of the game. Freshman Alexis Gonzalez, a member of the junior varsity team, describes girls soccer as “An opportunity for girls be competitive and bond together."

The Timber Creek girls varsity soccer team took on Colonial High School on December 13, 2017. The Timber Creek wolves have been successful so far with an overall record of 10 – 0 – 1 and a conference record of 8 – 0. Meanwhile Colonial High School has had an overall record of 5 -2 -1 and a conference record of 2 – 2 – 1. The game started at 7:00 pm and took place at Timber Creek High School.

The first half of the game began with a strong offense from the wolves. The wolves scored their first goal of the game just seventeen minutes into the game. Soon after attempted a goal but the ball was stopped by the Cougars goalkeeper.  A yellow card was issued just before another goal was scored by the wolves just eleven minutes later. Keeping up the pressure, the wolves took a shot at the goal but the ball went wide. The first half then drew to a close resulting in a successful conclusion of the first half of the game for the wolves.

The exciting fast pace of the first half of the game was stalled and a stalemate followed in the second half. Colonial pressured the wolve’s defense but was unsuccessful. With only eight minutes left in the game, the wolves scored a final goal. This left the course at 3-0 when the second half ended resulting in another win for the girls varsity soccer team. Freshman Grace Dutcher, a team helper, described the game as, “another exciting win for the Timber Creek Wolves.” The following girls varsity soccer game was December 14, 2017  resulting in another win against Cypress Creek.
