The Soccer Season is Upon Us!
It’s soccer season at TC and all the players are excited and ready to go! Freshman Caroline Hales said, “It feels awesome to make varsity as a freshman.” Hales has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. Both the boys and girls teams are looking to have a good season!
The boys team is looking to bounce back after ending their season last year losing to Newsome 2-1 in a playoff game. The boys play their first game in a pre-season match next Tuesday, November 6th at Lake Minneola. The girls team will play against Winter Springs, also on November 6th. Both teams are starting off the season against non-conference teams.
Last year the boys team had a finishing record of 12-4-2, which is a very good record for playing some of the best teams in the state. The girls team finished with a record of 18-3-2. The girls ended their season last by also losing to Newsome 5-0. Hales is looking to change that. “I want this team to win district and state titles,” she said.
Both teams are extremely excited to get started with the season next Tuesday. It should be a lot of fun but a lot of hard work as well. We will just have to wait and see if the hard work pays off for both of the teams. Good luck Wolves!
