This past week the art program has participated in a journey contest. To enter in this contest all you had to do was simply make a piece of artwork that pertained to journeys. The piece could be interpreted in many ways. All of the submissions varied from mental journeys to physical journeys. The winner of the contest would have their work featured in our schools literary and art magazine. The contestants could use any media to depict their ideas.

Every year our school puts out a print of the literary and art magazine. Each year the magazine has a different theme. For example in previous years the themes have been Seasons and Nautical. This year’s theme is Journey. Every student who participated in this competition is allowed to interpret the meaning however they wish. Multiple students were selected to be apart of the magazine this year.

Even though many students were selected the art club did a competition of it’s own. In this competition members entered their pieces that were then voted on to determine a winner. The winner of this contest was Diana Cappadoro who drew an imaginative picture of a cat perched atop of the world.
