Timber Creek High School has many sports and student athletes. A common sport for boys, besides football, is definitely wrestling. These young men are ready to start their season strong with this season coming soon. Interviewing two students who are joining the Boys Wrestling for their first year in high school. Joshua Cooper, freshmen, and Fernando Dominguez, freshmen. These two students had a lot to share about their thoughts on the upcoming season for wrestling.

The season for boys wrestling will begin strong at their first game on November 29th. This year’s season seems to contain twenty students who will be split into Junior Varsity and Varsity. Joshua Cooper, a potential junior varsity wrestler, definitely feels as though this season will go great for them. Cooper gives a quote stating, “This season should go good because most of the people we have trying out for the team are more experienced. Also the newer wrestlers are receiving great help from the more advanced players on the team.” Cooper seemed very confident with his team and season. May all our luck go to Cooper at his wrestling matches.

Although there are many students trying for the wrestling team only a few are put onto the varsity team. Fernando Dominguez, a potential varsity wrestler, is ready to take on the competition this year. This is Dominguez’s second year wrestling, but he has a lot of confidence on his skills. Dominguez practices his wrestling skills not only with boys in his weight level, but he likes to go down with the football guys. Dominguez does tell us he feels a lot of competition, whereas the guys on the team are a lot bigger and have a lot of strategy. Dominguez gives an inspirational quote, “I just want to do my best, and I don’t care if I win or lose.” Fernando is really looking forward to his future in wrestling as he pushes himself on the team.

Wrestling is a huge dedication when you want to go with it somewhere in life. These young boys are ready to rocket their athletics, and they are ready to start this season. They are ready for the challenges to be thrown at them, and for the big tough guys to try to knock them down. Go support TC’s wrestlers at their matches! Encouragement will help their cause, and don’t forget to cheer, Go Wolves!
