What are TC students planning to do this upcoming summer?

Summer is a common occurrence for students around the world. Summer is often described as one of the best times of the year because not only does it mean no school but also better weather, longer days and the availability of refreshing drinks such as ice cold lemonade. Summer begins from the end of May to the beginning of August. Once the final bell rings, the students immediately fill with joy, throwing their papers on the ground and expressing how happy they are for this stressful school year to come to an end. Every student in TC is looking forward to summer because that means no school, no stress, it’s more relaxing and because of the nice weather. Every student enjoys summer in different ways. In Florida, there’s plenty of things to do. Summer creates many memories and creates many bonds. Timber Creek Wolves opened up about their summer goals/plans from driving to the beach to traveling internationally.

To begin, there are many fun activities TC students can do during this summer. For example, tanning, going on a vacation, hanging out with friends, going to theme parks, attending a fair and much more. Some people travel outside of the state, for instance sophomore Samantha Driggers is planning to go on a cruise sometime in June and has been looking forward to this trip most of the school year and is excited for this upcoming summer because of it. “On the cruise I am most looking forward to going on the waterslides.” Cruises have a bunch of activities to do like play basketball, go to a restaurant, watch shows and go to a teen club. But Driggers would rather hang out by the pool. People find excitement in random things but no matter how random it can be, it’s the experience that counts.

In addition, others travel on boats, others rather stay locally to enjoy the sun, sophomore Kaleigh Miller plans on going to the beach for most of the summer. With their warm sand and gentle waves, beaches have a soothing ambiance that nothing can beat. There’s simply no better place to let go of daily stress than on the beach. “ What I am most looking forward to on the beach would be swimming in the ocean, but I mostly enjoy tanning.” The beach holds many summer activities and everyone kinda does their own thing, whether it’s swimming in the ocean, building a sand castle, tanning, or playing beach volleyball. In this case, Ms.Miller enjoys tanning because she could lay down in the nice Florida weather and just get her mind off of anything that’s bothering her. She always visited the beach but because of school she had to be back at a  certain time but since school ended she can stay as long as she wants.

In retrospect, we can say that the summer season is not as bad as it looks. It is just like any other season, just unique in its own ways. Students have different perspectives on certain topics but I believe that every student has the same opinion about summer. Everything about the vibes, freedom, relaxation, and stress-free contribute to the liking of this break. There are different breaks throughout the school year but none of them are as enjoyable as summer break. In particular, winter break does last for 2 weeks but the weather is cooler than summer and people don’t really enjoy the winter weather because of the coldness and because there is not much to do during this season compared to summer. From driving with music blasting to hanging out locally at a pool, Summer is the best season of the year.

Waves. One of the best things about summer is the beach! Living in Florida, it is very common and easy to have a beach day over the summer. Kaleigh Miller wanted someone to take a picture of herself to capture the beautiful sunset. Sophomore Kaleigh Miller is looking forward to the beach the most once school ends. Miller states,“What I am most looking forward to on the beach would be swimming in the ocean during sunset, but I mostly enjoy tanning.”
