What does the next 4 years look like?

As the year comes to an end, seniors’ last high school days ever are approaching. Seniors are making their college decisions and finishing all exams as the end of the school year keeps getting closer and closer. Entering this new chapter is scary yet exciting. Becoming a freshman again in a totally different way and a different school with different people. Leaving the people you grew up next to and seeing what they’re doing for the rest of their lives is bittersweet and can be sad but also very exciting.

When speaking with Senior Victoria White, she stated, “I will be attending Florida State University in the fall, and I will be majoring in English literature and pre-law track. When I graduate from Timber Creek, I am going to miss the routine of seeing all my best friends every day. Most of my friends I’ve been close with since pre- K, so it’ll be weird to go our separate ways. However, I cannot wait to get up to FSU and meet a whole different bunch of amazing people, and get the chance to click with new friends.” Having to leave friends you’ve grown up with is always hard but knowing you’re trying something new full of opportunities is so exciting.

When asked what Senior Logan Kremposky would miss about high school and where he will be attending school, he stated, “I’m attending Saint Village College in Latrobe, PA to major in sports management. I am going to miss being able to see my friends everyday and being able to hangout with them whenever I want to.” Leaving people you grew up with and spend most of your time with is so hard to leave but going farther away gives so many new opportunities and meeting new people.

Growing up and being out on your own for the first time comes with so many hardships but also comes with so many good things. It teaches you so many life lessons, meeting new people and just simply being on your own for the first time. This can be so scary but it’s something that everyone experiences and teaches you so many new things you never knew and helps you meet new people who will support you on your journey.
