Timber Creek Dance Program showcases the many techniques they have learned this year… so far!
It’s that time of year again for our very own Timber Creeks Dance Program’s Winter Showcase. Students have been preparing to showcase all that they have learned so far this year. This showcase is meant to highlight dancers technique and knowledge of skills they have learned. This showcase also highlights local middle school dance teams and high school dance teams near us. And of course the cute Wolf Pups get to perform!
Mrs. Tara Perry does a wonderful job putting this show together every year! This show is free and we always have a huge turnout of guests to come to watch. This year the Winter Showcase took place on Thursday February 28th! It was amazing to get the dance programs from Camelot Elementary, Corner Lake Middle School, and University High school involved. The Wolf Pups definitely stole the show with their cute performance! Behind the scenes, TC dance program students had many rehearsals preparing for the show. “We had some last minute changes, but we knew that we could handle it and perform our best!” Senior, Angelica Stark expressed. Even with some setbacks the dancers were very professional!
The Timber Creek Dance Program has grown tremendously and students enjoy the program so much. “I love the program so much! I was so happy to showcase all the technique that I have learned this year,” Junior, Chelsea Mejia said. Techniques classes performed a huge finale at the end of the show which was super fun and upbeat! Both the Elite and Apprentice teams performed a piece choreographed by John Lehrer that they learned through a master class at our very own TC Dance Convention! Overall, the show was amazing experience for the dancers. Next year it will be even better!
