Community College or University?
Community College or University?
This is a question asked frequently. Seniors are asked every day what they’re going to do with their lives. Personally, I would choose a university over a community college any day. You get the full college experience: a chance away from home and a taste of adulting. I didn’t apply myself as much as I should have in my four years of high school, leaving my college options to a minimum. The few universities I could get into, I had no interest.
Community colleges have their many benefits though. You are still taking the same classes as a university, just no dorm or frat parties. You save a bunch of money going to Valencia or TCC. My cousin had a 4.8 GPA and was eligible for many amazing universities, but didn’t have the money for college. There are scholarships, but she instead went to Seminole state college and doesn’t regret it. Both options are great; it just depends on what you want at the end of the day.
