Senior bios needed immediately!

Chorus Seniors class of 2013All chorus seniors are asked to submit a bio for the Variety Show program by no later than Tuesday, April 30. Go to http://j.mp/vsbios to submit your bio online or hand deliver it to Mr. Doherty by the deadline. This online form works on any Internet enabled phone.

7 Tips for writing a good bio

  1. Length: No more than 50 words.
  2. Purpose: To share with other chorus students and our audience members what your connection to chorus is, and what you’re doing after high school.
  3. Voice: Write in the third person. No one wants to hear you brag about yourself!
  4. Be honest.
  5. Say how long you’ve been in chorus, or when you joined.
  6. Write tight– be succinct!
  7. Hook your reader. Tell something funny about yourself, tie into a memorable event, or compare yourself to a famous person. Have fun! **I want to include your sense of humor, so please make it appropriate!

Sample Bios from the past

John Smith has only been a part of the Boone Chorus his senior year. He wishes he could of done it earlier in his high school experience. After high school he will be attending VCC, later then transfering to UCF and finishing his studies in mechanical engineering. He would like to thank his family, friends, Ms. Langa, and Mr. D for everything that they’ve done.

Jill Smith has been in Chorus for three years. She will be attending FSU in the Fall of 2011. She loves the Boone Chorus program, and everyone involved will be thought of fondly for years to come.
