Our 2019-20 FHS Guitar Ensemble Performance and Rehearsal schedule is listed below!

Performance & Rehearsal Schedule:  As a performance oriented class, students in any of the FHS Guitar Ensembles will have required performances as part of their overall grade playing solo and/or ensemble Guitar Music at the following events:

 

2020 FMEA All-State Audition: Freedom High School (Any interested Guitar student)

Saturday, September 14, 2019 – Time TBA – Cost $30.00

 

*Combined Fall Concert:  Freedom High School Performing Arts Center (Ponticello)

Monday, October 7, 2019 – 6:00pm call time / 7:00pm concert

 

*Guitar Rehearsal  w/ Dr. Ulisses Rocha: Guitar room (434) (Guitar Orchestra & Tasto)

Thursday, October 10, 2019 – 6:00pm call time / 7:00pm concert

 

*Fall Guitar Concert w/ “Artist-in-Residence” Dr. Ulisses Rocha:  Freedom High School Performing Arts Center (Guitar Orchestra & Tasto)

*OCPS All-County Honor Guitar Festival:  Winter Park HS Main Campus (Selected students)

Tuesday – January 28, 2020 – 6:00pm-8:30pm – Sectional

Thursday – January 30, 2020 – 6:00pm-8:30pm – Sectional

Friday – January 31, 2020 – 8:30am-3:30pm – Rehearsal and 7:00pm – Concert

 

*Solo/Ensemble Festival:  New Date, Location and Time(s) TBA (ALL GUITAR ENSEMBLE STUDENTS)

 

Other rehearsal and performance opportunities may be added to our calendar at the discretion of Mr. Perez including several in-school field trips to rehearse with college professors, and off campus to perform/work with other guitar programs, and performing in our community.  Students will be notified at least two weeks prior each added event.  An unexcused absence from each and any rehearsal and performance commitment will result in the lowering of a letter grade during the grading period from which the performance was held.  Please contact Mr. Perez if there are any questions or conflicts at least two weeks prior to a performance.
