Senior Jasmine Smith, number 24, reaches for the ball against Boone on December 13. Although the girls lost 67-64 to Boone, the team bounced back and is confident in winning this next game. As the top scorer, Smith is enthusiastic toward the next games to come.

The Timber Creek high school girls basketball team is playing Lake Nona high school  girls basketball team on December 19th, 2017. The Wolves are 8-2 and Lake Nona is the next team to beat. The game is away at Lake Nona High School, at 7:30pm. The girls are going into the game with confidence.

Coach Cross was able to tell us a few things about his game plan going into the game. He explained, “We need to push the ball as hard as we can when we’re going down court. Also, we have to run the ball as hard as we can to score.” He was also talked about his defensive plan, “we need to be able to stop the center from driving to the paint and the basket.” Coach hopes to see these things being executed during the game on Tuesday night.

Jasmine Smith, jersey number 24, is the top scorer for our team. She is a senior at Timber Creek and will graduate in 2018. She too is confident in the team’s ability to beat Lake Nona on Tuesday night. As a senior and the top scorer, Smith leads the team and has a huge impact on the girls around her.
