Edgewater vs Boone football game

Edgewater played their rivals this week the Boone Braves in football. This is the 66th year that the Battle of the Barrel has happened since 1952. Edgewater has won most of the games but the Braves have won four of the last five games with last years score of 44-0. Edgewater was not going to let that happen again.  

Robert Harvey scored two touchdowns in the first half. At halftime Edgewater was up 21 to 14.

Harvey scored yet another touchdown but the Boone’s defense blocked the extra point. Edgewater now up 27 to 14.

Starting off the third quarter Boone scored a touchdown making the score 27 to 21.  Nate White made a big sack to Boone making a 14- yard lost to get Edgewater back the ball.

Boone came back to win the game 35 to 27.  Boone managed to keep the barrel for one more year.  Tough loss for Edgewater but they are going to the playoffs Friday night at home against Fleming Island High.

Edgewater is undefeated at home.
