We began offering the Adobe Certified Associate program in the 2010-2011 school year. As of June 2018,  943 Adobe Certifications have been awarded to students at Lake Nona High School. We look forward to continuing to provide this opportunity to earn industry-recognized certification to the students in the Digital Media Academy. For more information

Along with standardized testing, the state of Florida wants to be sure its students are ready for the next step whether it is going to college or entering the workplace. State standardized testing never has and currently does not assess students’ computer skills. In the age of technology, we all know how valuable computer skills are.  Florida now recognizes industry certification as a measurement tool in grading schools—along with standardized tests and many other factors. This is where industry certification comes in– to recognize and reward the software skills students learn in technology based electives. Not only do these skills look great on a résumé, job application and college application, certified students are proving to the world that he/she knows Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro!  Adobe Industry Certification is widely recognized across the world—learn more here Adobe Certifcation.

At Lake Nona High School, we have an above average percentage of students in the Digital Media Academy earning Industry Certification in Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. New this year is the chance to certify in Illustrator and InDesign. All Digital Media Academy students have the opportunity to earn certification as an Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop CS6, Dreamweaver CS6, Flash CS6, Illustrator CS6, InDesign CS6, and Premiere Pro.
