Recycling over 5400 pounds last year, Environmental Club is dedicated to saving our ecosystem, reducing landfill space and mitigating climate change. In 2011 Environmental Club plans to recycle 10,000 pounds. To help the cause, students can utilize the Drink It and Sink It containers and recycling bins around school.
“I’ve always had an interest in nature and the environment. It was just a logical thing for me because I knew there were students with that interest as well,” sponsor Wendy Ernest said.
Students can sign up for Environmental Club in Room 505.
