What college did you attend?
I went to UCF and Capella University for my masters.
Have you taught before coming to Boone?
[I have taught for] 15 years, [at] Howard Middle School for 12 years and Liberty Middle School for 3 years.
What are you most looking forward to at Boone?
I love the school pride. I get chills with the drum line, it is infectious.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
[My favorite part is] seeing a student have a light bulb moment and knowing they can learn.
What is one thing you hope every student takes away from your class?
I hope they have confidence in their abilities despite obstacles.
What is your hidden talent?
I can touch my nose with my tongue.
What is the top item on your bucket list?
An Alaskan Cruise to watch whales, any kind, I am a freak about water animals they make me feel at peace.
If you could have any animal as a pet which would you choose?
I would choose a dolphin, they always look like they’re smiling.
Are you a glass half empty or glass half full person?
Half-full, you have to focus on the good to get more good.
