Spanish Clubs annual Shirt Off You Back drive is here, so it’s time to do some spring-cleaning and give back.
“It’s a relatively easy project to do in the sense that people have shirts that they give away after their spring cleaning,” Connie Heiselman, club sponsor.
For the fourth year, the Spanish Club collects long and short-sleeved cotton button ups for migrant farm workers in Florida. These shirts help the workers to be safe from sun, pesticides and other harmful elements.
“It’s a great student act of kindness,” Mary Wright, club president, said. “You don’t see that often and it’s great to see so many people help out.”
Any member, or Connie Heiselman in Room 10-203, can accept donations. The drive will continue until March 24.
