During the course of the school year, the senior class sponsored four blood drives, one per each nine week. The member of the council wanted to beat last year’s number of pints, in which they were three under from the record on the last blood drive of the year.
After the third blood drive on Feb. 1, the senior class decided that they wanted to have collected 400 pints of blood total for all four blood drives of the year. They posted flyers all across school, broadcasting their wishes to receive 400 pints of blood total. The drive was a success when they had 224 students come to donate blood at the final blood drive on April 12. They collected 138 pints of blood for the drive. When added to the total number of pints for the whole year, the senior class and blood donors had worked together to raise 408 pints of blood.
