With a common interest, students began the first meeting of Engineering Club Monday after school in physics teacher Micheal Undieme’s room.
There are $5 dues that will go towards the projects and competitions. The first competition was to build a bridge to cross between two tables using nothing but the playing cards. Students had 15 minutes to build the longest bridge; the winning team’s project spanned 14 inches.
Larger competitions will be held once a month outside of school. The club also plans to have a guest speaker from the engineering field about every two months.
