The lockdown that spanned the majority of fifth period was due to a student found with a suspicious device.
The events began at 11:30 a.m. after a School Resource Officer caught students skipping class. While returning them to school, a suspicious device was found in a student’s backpack.
The bomb squad was called in and later cleared the device; however, the apprehended student may still face charges regarding the creation and possession of a false device.
