Tuesday evening at open house, Publications will sell Chrysanthemums to raise money for their equipment/ scholarships account. On Saturday, Oct. 2, Boone Publications held a rummage sale to raise money for the account.

Last year was the first time publications had a rummage sale to raise money for a new Mac lab.  This year the goal is to maintain the lab and the extra money will be used for scholarships.

“It’s a big fundraiser that all of us can participate in and come together as a staff.  We benefit financially with the help of community support.  If it wasn’t for community support we would not be able to have publications,” senior Caley Brock said.

The goal is to raise $5,000 per year.  Each student is asked to donate five small items like, unwanted clothes or jewelry and one large item, like a dresser or a bed frame.

They raised $2,200 at the rummage sale and will hold fundraisers to reach their goal.
