In the first home game of the season, the boys lacrosse team defeated the Lake Nona Lions 15-1.

Within the first minutes of the game, starting midfield, Paul Chong, junior, scored the first goal. By the end of the first half, the Braves were up 7-0 with multiple goals by Chong, sophomore Eric Bergin and senior Joseph Onderick.

Dustin Driskell, junior, scored the first goal in the second half with an assist from Onderick. In the third quarter, junior Kevin Irwin scored unassisted and senior Connor McClellan scored with an assist from Onderick. At the end of the third quarter, Lake Nona scored making it a 12-1 game.

In the fourth quarter, junior Henry McClane scored his second goal of the night. A minute before the game ended, junior Bradley Connelly scored.

The boys next game for the boy’s is Friday, March 1, at home at 6 p.m. against East Ridge.
