For over 20 years, the Senior Class Council has been organizing a senior breakfast before the winter break. Traditionally the theme is holiday centered and is a time for seniors to socialize with their peers.

“It’s a neat tradition. It gets seniors together and they can relax. It’s fun for them to be with friends, eat pancakes and Santa shows up,” Senior Class sponsor Annette Montgomery said.

Montgomery along with the Senior Class officers plan the breakfast. They pick which music to pay, the pictures being taken and they organize Santa’s visit. During the summer Senior Class treasurer, Margaret Brown contacted the pancake flipper, Jeff Krass also known as “Uncle Pancake”, from Minnesota, to hire him for the senior breakfast.

This week they have been organizing and preparing for the breakfast. Yesterday the Senior Class officers, council members, and mothers from PTSA decorated and set up the festive occasion.

“The senior breakfast was amazing. I loved catching the pancakes and watching people miss while trying to catch them. The Christmas spirit was heartwarming and it was fun enjoying pancakes with my friends,” Sydney Foritni said.
