Get out your calendars because the Reservation Run 5K is Feb. 15, starting at 7:30 a.m. for competitive runners and 7:35 a.m. for those participating for fun. The annual fun, festive 5 kilometer run is in its sixth year of existence on campus. All proceeds will benefit students, clubs, athletes and campus facilities.
Junior Nicholas Reynolds enjoyed last year’s Reservation Run 5K.
“[I like] the fact that I get to do what I love [running] while helping the community,” Reynolds said.
The first 700 paid entrants will receive a 2014 Reservation Run 5K T-shirt. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed and will be first come, first serve at packet pickup.
The event is an opportunity for both competitive runners and those participating for fun. Competitive student runners who want to be chip timed are $20, and a chip timed adult (over age 20) is $25. The chip timed registration will close on Feb. 11 at noon. For non competitive participants, the untimed 5K student fee is $15 and the untimed 5K adult is $20. The online registration will close Feb. 14 at noon. Entry fees are non refundable.
Adults can pick up their race number, T-shirt and information at the main office, Feb. 13 and 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students can pick up their race number, T-shirt, and information at the Trading Post during lunch Feb. 13 and 14. On-site registration begins at 6:30 a.m. race day. Chips are not available for on-site registration, prices are $5 more and T-shirts are not guaranteed.
