Conway’s Middle School jazz band joined  the Boone jazz ensemble for a night of  music April 15.

Students reported to the band room at 6 p.m. for a quick warm-up before the performances. At 7 p.m, Keith Nickels, the Conway band director, and the their jazz band performed a rendition of the famous James Bond theme song, and Pixar’s Incredibles theme song, “The Glory Days”.

After their performance, the Boone jazz ensemble took the stage and performed their pieces, which included solos from Patrick Boyle, Matthew Schroeder, Mattheu Velez and Pedro Jimenez.

The band ended their show with a spectacular rendition of The Beatles’ “Blackbird,” which featured a drum solo at the end.
