Newly appointed into a leadership role, Night Crew Leader Michael Gantt also earned the Boone Support Person of the Year award.
On Wednesday afternoon, Principal Dusty Johns crowned Gantt and then made a school-wide announcement to congratulate him.
Gantt first came to campus as a student and then as a member of the custodial staff for the last 8.5 years.
“He is always smiling and helps anybody with diligence and dedication,” Assistant Principal Carlota Iglesias said.
His team of custodians cheered very loud when they heard the announcement.
