How many years have you been teaching? I have been teaching for nine years.
Where did you previously teach? I taught at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee.
What college did you graduate from? I graduated from UCF.
What is your ideal classroom environment? Pandora playing. I like to listen to Adele while I work; “Hello” is my favorite.
How would you describe your teaching style? My teaching style is organized chaos. We lay out an outline of the class and attack the day.
What are you most looking forward to about being at Boone? The Rowdy Crowd, those guys keep the football games hyped.
Explain one motto you live by.
The dictionary is the only place you will find success before work, I try to take my coaching styles into the classroom. You have to put in work before you win.
If you had an unlimited budget and two hours to go anywhere you wanted what would you do? That’s a tough one, I would go to Africa and buy all the starving kids Chick-fil-A; those [sandwiches] are tasty.
If you could live in a book or movie what would you choose? Forrest Gump, he has an awesome life getting to meet so many people. Or Twilight I would be a werewolf.
What impact do you hope to leave on your students? I’d like them to remember when times get tough to keep working.
