“I’ve been teaching for four years. I last taught at Umatilla High School in Lake County.”
What subject/s do you teach?
“I teach Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Medical Skills and Services in the Academy of Health Science. I’m also the advisor for HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) which is a club to help and promote those who are interested in providing to our future health care.”
What college did you graduate from?
“I graduated from the University of Central Florida.”
What is the first thing you notice about people?
“My mom is a Dental Hygienist, so, like her the first thing I notice about people is their smile.”
What inspires you to teach students everyday?
“A love of the subject and passion to inspire future health care providers.”
If you could live anywhere in the world for 2 years, where would it be?
“I would live on The Island of Cyprus, it’s a Greek island with a lot of expatriate British citizens. There’s a ton of adventurous and beautiful scenes to explore, especially the Mediterranean ocean and the enormous amount of options to go hiking.”
If you could choose between scary movies or romantic movies, which one would it be?
“Always scary movies. I love scary movies, especially the ones that are atmospheric. I live in a 120 year-old house, so the idea of the past becoming the present is very interesting and fascinating to me. I also enjoy looking for parts of the past in my house as well.”
What is your favorite ice cream?
“My favorite ice cream is the Mochi ice cream sold at Whole Foods. Mochi are frozen rice paper or cake that come in various of flavors. My favorite ones are green tea and passion fruit.
