What college do you plan to attend? “Stetson University.”
What is your intended major? “Business Administration.”
What other colleges have accepted you? “Rollins College, University of Tampa, Florida Southern College, University of Central Florida, Flagler College.”
What clubs and sports did you participate in? “President of Ocean Activist Club and Captain of varsity volleyball.”
What is your favorite memory from Boone? “Before volleyball games when all the girls would sit around and hang out.”
What is your advice to incoming students? “Every year of high school is different, so remember that as your time here gets started.”
What are you most looking forward to about college? “Joining clubs, Greek life, having a roommate and meeting new people.”
What was the biggest challenge you faced at Boone? “Keeping my academics as my first priority while still making time for friends, sports, clubs and other fun activities that are Boone traditions.”
How did your experience playing sports help you succeed academically? “Playing volleyball has introduced me to so many people that I would otherwise never have even come across. Especially considering volleyball is in the beginning of the school year, it’s the best way to ease into new classes and new routines with good friends to depend on. Home games made Boone feel like a home, and connected me with even more people. The more people I met, the more sourced I had for help and assistance in my classes at all hours.”
What is your biggest goal for the next year? “I want to be involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities at Stetson. I want to meet as many people as possible. With this goal, I also want to keep my academic achievements growing, and find new hobbies, but school always comes first.”
Who is your biggest inspiration? “My biggest inspiration is would have to be my parents. They show me every day what hard work and planning for your future over time can give you.”
What will you miss most about Boone? “I will definitely miss the entire volleyball team at Boone and the home games. Hopefully the girls will come visit me at Stetson.”
