On Feb. 28, the girls’ lacrosse team defeated East River 15-2.
The girls lead the entire game. Captain and senior Brennah Mehan scored the first and second goals. Junior Kiernan Mehan assisted the second goal.
By halftime, the girls were in the lead 11-0. The game was a shut out through the 13th goal until East River scored its first goal of the night, making the score 13-1.
In the second half, the team ran its Motion 1, Motion 3 and Shuttle plays. B. Mehan, K. Mehan, junior Chase Granger and sophomore Sofia Rahman scored goals.
The team had strong passing and draw control throughout the game. Senior Jessica Kneeland, a defensive wing, had three interceptions. Head coach Megan Lane named Kneeland Player of the Nigh.
With a 4-1 record, the girls play Lake Nona March 4, away at 6 p.m.
