The Lady Braves flag football team took on the Mandarin Mustangs on May 1, in the Regional Championship. They lost a tough game, 6-13.
Head to head, the girls ended the first quarter, 0-0. Junior Bailey Florin scored the first touchdown of the game, but the Lady Braves missed the extra point. Mandarin scored just before halftime, making their extra point and taking a 7-6 lead.
The second quarter began with another touchdown by Mandarin, but Kyndal Skersick blocked the extra point. With the time running off the clock, the game ended, 6-13, a tough loss for the Lady Braves. Although the girls lost the Regional Championship, they are still District Champions and had an undefeated regular season. This is the furthest the girls have gone in season play.
