What to expect?

In the music room we will always make sure that each child experiences a well-rounded music education.  In each lesson, children will sing, play instruments, read music, and move.  In many lessons we will also write our own music using the different note values and melodic motives that we have been focusing on depending on the grade level.  

Please find out from your child when they have music during the week and then encourage them to share with you the songs or poems that they might have learned in music.  I always tell my students that their homework is to share with someone what they learned in music class.  So be that listening ear for your children so that they can improve their musicianship.
