Mrs. Miller

I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and went to Orange County Public Schools (Dover Shores, Howard, and Boone.)  I began singing at age 4 and have been performing ever since.
I went to the University of South Florida in Tampa and received my Bachelors of Music in Music Education.  I also received my masters degree in teacher leadership from UCF.  I am classically trained in voice and sing a variety of different genres.  My favorite genre to sing is jazz.  I’m one of the children’s choir directors at my church and also sing in the choir on occasion.
I have been teaching music for 12 years and this is my first year at Lake George.  My son Jackson is in 1st grade at Lake George.

Three years ago I published my first music education resource for music teachers with my aunt, Artie Almeida through Heritage Music Press.  It’s called Get to the Point and it provides lessons for music teachers using what I call pointing pages which is a beginning step to reading music.  This year I have my first solo publication coming out called “Awesome Books with Musical Hooks!”  I am also a regular contributor to a music education magazine that provides lessons to music teachers throughout the nation called Activate.  This amazing resource is done quarterly and I’m blessed to have many of my lessons through children’s literature published in Activate!

This is my beautiful family.
