2nd grade

In 2nd grade we begin more complicated instrument playing and rhythms.  We discover the half note which contains 2 beats and whole note which is 4 beats long. We focus mostly on practicing the rhythms we have learned since Kindergarten to develop a firm foundation before moving into the fast paced world of 3rd grade.  We also learn two new solfege syllable called LOW DO and RE.
