Fifth grade is a year of incredible growth and change. The students will be maturing in very many ways. This year we introduce the Middle Ages and the students become so excited to learn about this exciting topic. Instructionally, we will incorporate differentiation and problem-based learning in, with a variety of activities which meet or exceed state standards in math, literacy, science and social studies. Students will have the chance to dive into the roles of the time period, to discover what life in the Middle Ages was like, to discover manors and castles, and to learn about the technology and science of the time as well. Students will work on projects and present their findings in class.
