Since the beginning of the iPhone era, the public has regarded the iPhone as one of the most technologically advanced phones of all time. It offers fast and easy interface that allows for easy calling, texting and e-mailing.
However, Apple has gone one step farther in creating an AppStore that is filled with a variety of useful and entertaining applications that are either available for purchase or for free. They have different functions; some can tell one how many calories they’ve eaten in one day, while others can help decide where to have lunch.
Popular video games are also included as applications, for example Call of Duty: World At War: Zombies and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
The varieties of applications on the iPhone continue to increase with their large selection of categories. The iPhone makes applications available that allow life to be easier and more entertaining.
I Am T-Pain, $0.99: A more comical application that provides beats and lyrics to rapper T-Pain’s songs, or songs that he has been featured in. The purpose of the application is to allow one to tune one’s voice to sound like the famous echo of T-Pain.
Touch Goal, $9.99: An application that allows one to plan out goals to achieve throughout the week. One can manage the application by placing either a red or green mark on the goal; red signifies the goal was not achieved; green signifies the goal was achieved. It also allows one to track habits, especially the habits one is looking to get rid of, such as chewing one’s fingernails. If one did do the habit, a red mark would be placed on the day; if not, the mark is green.
iFitness, $1.99: This application allows one to regulate and improve regular exercise. The application allows one to choose a part of the body one would like to focus on during regular exercise. It provides clear pictures and videos that show and instruct the proper way to achieve one’s goal.
Bump, free: An application that allows one to easily swap contact information and pictures with the owner of another iPhone. The swapping of contact information is as easy as a bump. A contact is automatically added to one’s address book and any pictures chosen to transfer are automatically added to the camera roll.
Yearbook Yourself, $0.99: The application is a version of the Yearbook Yourself Web site. It takes the pictures from one’s iPhone and edits them. The application gives the pictures looks from different eras. One can makeover a picture and give it a 70s rock look or a 50s flare look. The pictures are all black and white and are edited according to the most popular stereotypes.
G- Spot, $0.99: This application guides a person back to his car. When someone parks in town and plans to walk all over town, G- Spot gives direction back to the car. The application uses a satellite to pinpoint one’s position. It is equipped with a map and compass that turns as one turns, and also has written directions to the car.
