The band shows their party side not only through the lyrics, but also through their video, where they crash a school dance and show the kids how live like there’s no tomorrow. The catchy words and classic school dance vibe are expected of the Disney group.
What’s not? Well, this song begins with what sounds like a lighter, a technique many rappers use in their songs to reference smoking. Then, when the song starts to pick up, a few not-so-Disney words are put in the mix. But the most surprising element is when an unidentified rapper appears on the track and alludes to drinking with lines like “fill them cups,” “drinks go up, drink ‘em down,” and “I don’t know how I’m getting home.”
Though this is a little more risque of the group, it showed their more mature side. The Disney label held them back a bit from there lyrical and rhythmic capabilities, so it’s great they are thinking outside the lines and showing more of their capability and diversity. The single will be featured in Disney’s upcoming movie Prom. releasing April 29.
