Sunday football games, soccer, Orlando Magic basketball games, and even hockey games are entertaining to watch at Wingit, a restaurant and bar, while eating their spectacular food.
Located next to the Florida Mall, Wingit is friendly and inviting. The Wingit girls greet customers and offer self seating. The lighting is mostly ambient and dim which creates a relaxing environment. There are wall-to-wall flat screens so no one has to turn his seat around to watch his favorite game.
To start, the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks ($6.99) are delicious. The fresh mozzarella cheese is hot and stringy and the outside is lightly breaded. Curly fries are a signature side served with wings. They are crispy and sprinkled with season salt.
Wingit is famous for the wings, of course. They’re soft and steamy on the inside with a crispy outside, flavored with a choice of mild, medium, hot, atomic, honey, BBQ, King Midas, garlic, spicy garlic and teriyaki. These fried wings cost $8.99 for 12 and $20.49 for 24. The teriyaki and their signature King Midas sauce are the most popular. They also offer daily specials like Joseph’s Pistachio ($11.49), which is tasty lasagna. It is layered pasta with homemade tomato sauce, ground beef is baked in with creamy béchamel sauce, sliced ham topped with Italian cheese and truffle oil.
In the back there is a pool table, darts, and a big couch to relax with friends and family. The Wingit girls are attentive, right there to take an order.
Overall Wingit is the perfect place to go with family and friends to cheer on your favorite team or to go for a bite on a lunch break. 4 0f 4 stars.
