Superheroes of Marvel Comics come together to fight powerful creatures from outer space in the new action film, The Avengers.
Suspense starts from the beginning of the movie and there is no doubt this is an action-filled film.
Director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) discovers a crisis that will need extreme measures to fix. Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is Director Fury’s right-hand man and Agent Coulson informs him about the crisis.
Rescuers discovered a powerful cube, the Tesseract, when they recovered Captain America (Chris Evans). The cube is a powerful energy source that has the capability to destroy the world and no one knows how to handle the situation.
The antagonist, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), has come for vengeance on Earth. He needs the Tesseract to give him the power and army he needs to win and gain control over humans.
The Avengers are a group of remarkable people such as: Captain America, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). They are gathered one by one from their distant homes and asked to fight against Loki and his army.
The dialogue between the superheroes is serious with witty remarks from each of the characters. This makes the personal conflict captivating by bringing up more fights between the characters.
The heroes argue with each other because they all have their specialties. Captain America brings his old-fashioned ways with his shield and fist-fighting which causes fights with Iron Man since he has a suit of armor and is the most modern. Meanwhile, Thor has his hammer of lighting while The Hulk has his strength. Throughout the film they not only fight the enemy but each other as well because of their differences.
The high suspense, intensity and quality of the movie keeps one focused on the screen. At times the stillness is broken by comic relief by the actors but it fits in perfectly and the tension returns quickly.
The Avengers brought the superheroes together after they had their own movies. Those movies explained who the heroes are and how they came to be these remarkable people.
The film is unquestionably good and enticing to the average viewer. Even though this is a remake from the original comics true Marvel fans will still be enthralled. The action packed film is sure to be a box office hit.
