Boys swimming team competed at districts on Oct. 26, taking seven top 10 finishes.
The boys 200-yard medley relay team including juniors Zane Grant, Israel Miller and seniors Cayman Bryan and Cooper Brock received sixth place overall with a time of 1:56.12. Seniors Brendan Ellixson, Christopher Slayson, William Stone and junior Zane Grant placed sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:47.74. While the 200-yard freestyle relay including Brock, Slason, Ellixson and junior Joshua Rosenfeld placed eighth with a time of 1:42.37 .
In the individual categories Ellixson placed seventh in the boys 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.96 as well as fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.66 . Rosenfeld placed eighth in boys 500 freestyle with a time of 5:46.75. Grant placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.45.
The swimmers continuing to regionals are Ellixson for the 200 and 500 freestyle, Rosenfeld and Zane Grant for the 500 freestyle and the 100 backstroke respectively. Overall both swimming teams placed fifth.
Regionals are on Nov. 3 at the YMCA Aquatic Center.
