IT’S OURS. After winning the game, the team celebrates it’s victory and the return of the barrel with coach Phil Ziglar.

On Friday night the Braves faced Edgewater, on their home turf, in the annual rivalry game.

In the first quarter both teams met each other’s match as they fought to score. The score remained 0-0 through the end of the first half of the game.

Beginning the third quarter, the Braves scored a field goal, taking the lead, 3-0. The Eagles returned with a touchdown, but had a failed attempt for an extra point. Shortly after the Braves answered with a touchdown from Blake Williams to Devin Thomas and field goal by Austin Jones ending the quarter 10-6.

In the fourth quarter, the Eagles scored again and failed to earn the attempted two-point conversion, 10-12. In the last five minutes of the fourth quarter, the Eagles got within scoring range but they threw an interception.  With the Braves down 10-12 with 1:27 left, Blake Williams completed a 21-yard pass to Blake Orvis who got it in Eagle territory and in kicking range. Junior Austin Jones kicked a 34-yard field goal to win the game for the Braves, 13-12.

The Braves got the barrel back and gave Coach Phil Ziglar his 139th and final victory.
