In their last home game, the Lady Braves soccer team played the West Orange Warriors.

To celebrate the seniors they recognized  Alexandra Clayton, Kayla Combs, Heidi Hill, Sloane Hudkins, Megan Tracy and Victoria Treiber .The girls walked down the field with their parents and had their future plans announced. After the senior night festivities, the girls began the game against the Warriors.

The team kept the score 0-0. By the end of the second half, sophomore Emily Stearns scored the first goal, bumping their score to 1-0.

They stayed strong in the second half, with the score of 1-0. Halfway into the second period, West Orange scored making the score a tie,  1-1.

Tensions were high on the field as referees were accused of wrong calls by the coaches and players getting injured. Boone goalie junior Dyanna Herrera defended the goal throughout the half, saving almost every shot.

The game score ended up  1-1. The team’s next game is Jan. 8 at Dr. Phillips at 7:30 p.m.
