On March 4, the girls’ tennis team encountered their third loss of the season to Freedom, 3-4.

The match started out with singles matches by senior Lyndsey Boos and freshman Julia Bonnewitz. After gaining the advantage in the last match, Boos won, 8-0. Bonnewitz won her match, 8-6.

In the other singles matches, the girls were unable to hold onto the lead. Sophomore Meghan Cotton and sophomore Mary Grace Burkett both lost their matches, 6-8, and freshman Ashlyn Gage lost her match, 0-8.

In the doubles matches Boos and Bonnewitz teamed up, winning their match, 6-1. Senior Ariana Faraji and sophomore Gabrielle Reiff lost their doubles match, 0-8.

The team’s next match is 3:30 p.m. March 6 against Lake Nona at home.
